The Best Version

2020 have been a tough year for everyone. All of us faced a lot of challenges especially this pandemic caused by COVID-19 that a lot of us had a difficulty dealing with it. Though things became difficult, I was still thankful because I was able to hurdle all those hardships I personally experienced. Most of all, I am thankful for all the blessings that came my way.

   This year 2021, is an opportunity to start again and have a good life. New stages and chapters to realize dreams and fix mistakes made in the past year. This is probably the symbol of the New Year. Aside from giving an indication of time, it is also the emergence of new hope for all. As the year changes, a new chapter will be opened with blessings, trials, and lessons that each of us must go through to become the best version of ourselves.

   For this year, there are a lot of things that I want to happen. I have a lot of goals that I want to achieve. I don't want to call these resolutions though.

   First, I want to be more spiritual. I will forever be a Catholic. I hope to hear and attend a mass more often this year and rediscover my personal relationship with Jesus, my God. Second, be healthy. I want to live and eat healthy. Sleep early, wake up early. Eat healthy food more often. Exercise regularly, if possible. Third, I want to be more productive. It may be a little difficult but I'll do my best especially at school. Fourth, I want to get rid of all negativities and be more optimistic. We only live once, why burden myself with negative thoughts? Lastly, be more generous with my time and blessings.

   Although no one really knows what will happen tomorrow, this new year, 2021, is everyone's hope. We do not know what the future holds, but we know who holds future.

    I love how you express your thoughts. I think this year's new year's resolutions of ours will be the best of all those past years.I hope that you'll achieve all the things you listed for this year.

Quality Education, Amidst a Pandemic?

         The Department of Education (DepEd) managed to implement the "Blended Learning Method" as a new method of learning caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite this, millions of students are still able to enroll in the country this school year. But a lot of students are also unable to enroll because they do not have enough money or not ready to keep up with the new mode of study. The government chose to pursue the opening of classes without adequate equipment, preparation, and support.  Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, we felt the learning crisis in our country.         There are things we do not expect and can prevent from happening. Such as various disasters like earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, landslides, tsunamis, wars, let us also include a pandemic and other catastrophic events that can take many lives. All we can do is prepare for it because nowadays the catastrophes are not expected by anyone.
