What I feel towards President Duterte's Administration



Dear President Rodrigo Roa Duterte,

  Greetings Mr. President! I am honored to give you a letter that expresses my feelings on your governance.


  These past few days Mr. President, I have observed that a lot of your countrymen are disappointed and unsatisfied with your responses in battling COVID-19 pandemic. I appreciate the actions you've done during this COVID-19 pandemic but obviously, victims of COVID-19 in the Philippines is rapidly increasing and it has been months since the lockdown was implemented on different parts of the Philippines.


   I understand that your position takes a lot of responsibility but may I ask Mr. President, does militarist approach helpful in battling COVID-19 pandemic? Since then Mr. President, you always rely on militarist approach in every crisis you face. 


  Does the closure of ABS-CBN in times of a pandemic, which is the country's largest media network as well as the so called white sand in manila bay helped in slowing down the spread of the virus? Your congress still managed to push the Anti-Terror Law which allows warantless arrest and is against of human rights during this pandemic. Even education, as a student I must let you know that I am not in favor of this new kind of learning. We are paying for a slow internet connection just to attend classes. The pressure we feel just to meet the deadlines of our requirements and pass this school year. This modular learning is draining us physically, mentally, and emotionally. I am worried not only because COVID-19 pandemic is still happening but also because of the amount of debt our country has. I believe Mr. President that your administration's response on battling COVID-19 will hurt your standing in public.

    Hi Kizza. I am glad that you expressed your feelings very well to our president. I also totally agree with your concerns about their responces towards covid-19. Adjusting to this new kind of learning is really a big challenge for us. I hope that our president is aware about that and take a better action. God bless.

    Your letter was very impressive, knowing that you have verbalized your opinions and suggestions towards our President's administration. I totally agree with what you have stated, especially that we, students, essentially need high quality education, but it's hard to have it considering today's situation. But still, we need to keep our faith strong, we'll win over this crisis!

Filipinos Are United And Resilient

        There are things we do not expect and can prevent from happening. Such as various disasters like earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, landslides, tsunamis, wars, let us also include a pandemic and other catastrophic events that can take many lives. All we can do is prepare for it because nowadays the catastrophes are not expected by anyone.
